Title: 30s Ariel - need spot on ID
Post by: LongJohnSilver on February 07, 2006, 07:05:37 PM
Re: Help Tom "find his father"

Greetings. Tom, an American chap has this hanting photo of his father (who died @ 28 yrs.) on what appears to be a 1930-something Ariel.

The head-on view makes ID difficult, but the single spring front suspension and the flared front fender with twin rivets for the front brace appear to be Ariel. The headers imply a 350, 500, or 600cc twin OHC? -- or Square Four? The clutch and brake levers might be replacements?

THANKS for any help you can give! Reply to: johnwadelong@bigfoot.com
