Hello,
I have this old photo of my Uncle in Holland sitting on this bike. I thought it might be a BSA but can't find a match. I wish i could ask him but he has passed on. If anyone knows what the bike is it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Dan

It looks European rather than British. Is that a DKW badge on the fuel tank ? If so, then it is a cousin to the Bantam anyway.

Thank you Rich !
Given he was in Holland, I'm guessing DKW, I found a photo of a 1954 with the same front and rear suspension, I can't make out the tank badge but the LH case definitely starts with a D. Just the seat that throws me off, but maybe it was an option.
Thank you very very much !

Hello Dan I think its an DKW as well probably 125 or 175 cc I gamble on the second because of the rear suspension.
In these days motorbikes were a very common form of transport an lost of singleseats were replaced by duoseats to take the girlfriend(s) for a spin.
They left the factory with rubber singleseats until 54/55 so if the pic is from 54 you can assume that the bike is earlier f.i. 51 or 52
good luck George the second.
by the way I myself have a rt 200/2 of 55

Thanks George !
Yes from photo's on the Dutch DKW site seems like a '51. Very cool looking bikes !
Your a big help.
