The Motorcycle magazine did in 1950 print a series of pictures of Matchless mcs, taken in different capitals around the world. In June 1950 there was a picture taken in Norway, showing a man on a motorycle, by a singpost pointing to Oslo, Hamar and other places.
That man is my grandfather, and I would love to surprise him with a copy of that magazine page as the one he has is rather unreadable. It doesnt have to be an original, a scanned one is just as good.
If anyone can help me, I'd be very thankful. I can be contacted on e-mail: altasol@hotmail.com

This seller appears to have all the June 1950 copies, although in "poor" condition. http://www.dropbears.com/c/classicmemories/Motor_Cycle_1928-1952.htm
You could try the library section of the VMCC, as they may have a copy they could scan for you? http://www.vmcc.net/

Hanne,
I have copies of all the June 1950 issues of The Motor Cycle magazine. I will dig them out and scan the picture to email to you. I have some duplicates so might even have a spare copy of the magazine.

I know those adverts you describe. Somewhere I have a photo of me on my Matchless taken at the site of the Australian ad. Of course it looks nothing like it did back in the 1950's but it was fun going there and doing it.
Ask Pooks Motor Books if they have a copy. I have bought magazines as early as 1924 from them and they were all in good condition.
They have a website, www.pooksmotorbooks.co.uk. I'm sure your grandfather would be impressed with a good original magazine.
Cheers,

Thanks for all your quick answers :)
Dennis, that would just be great!

Hanne,
The advert is in the 6 July issue of The Motor Cycle, I have emailed a scan of it to you ( it might come through twice as it looked like it did't send first time.
