Title: Can I make my B31 faster?
Post by: nigel waring on December 19, 2005, 01:23:38 AM
Hello,
I've just bought a B31 thats in very good condition. However, I'm more used to Triumph twins and triples and am gutted at how slow the B31 is!
Any advice on solving this? I was thinking of fitting a B33 barrel and piston, any ideas if this is ok with the B31 head and crank?
Thanks,
Nigel Waring.

hi
you don't say whether cast-iron or alloy head you can try, cams polishing larger and lett valveand a slightly higher compression but will not be quite so nice to ride in traffic and will never rival a triumph twin when all said and done it is a bread-and-butter 350   regards Geoff

Hi Higel,

there is one simple change that needs to be made...  I think your expectations need to be adjusted..!

There's no point your wife marrying you and then wanting to know how she can make you rich and handsome. I'm afraid if you wanted a faster bike you should have bought a faster bike.
