Title: Thunderbird or Tiger?
Post by: Wychwil on July 29, 2006, 10:31:00 PM
Hi,
I'm a complete newbie, so new in fact that I haven't even chosen my bike yet. I'm torn between a '59 Triumph Tiger or a '50s Triumph Thunderbird. Why a '59 Tiger? Love that Nacelle headlight, don't love the skirts of the later models, but want the improvments made to the crank in 1959. The question is...were the same improvements made to the Thunderbird that year? Can anyone help. Would really appreciate it
Thanks
Wychwil

Yes I believe so, and the crankshaft/flywheel assembly part number for all '59 650 models (6T/TR6/T110/T120) is the same number (E3893).
