Title: C15 '66 Wont Start. No spark. Possible Points trouble??

Hi all.

My C15 '66 just will not start. There is no spark. I have fitted a new plug, and changed the condenser (this wasnt new). I adjusted the points with a feeler gage and they seem to be opening and closing. 

I turned the ignition on and opened the points with a screw driver but the spark i got was between the top of the points and the adjuster screw on the back plate and NOT between the points!!! I cannot get a spark between the points.

Can anybody help? i am pulling my hair out.

After cleaning the points i found they were opnening too wide. I adjusted them with a feeler gauge and now it runs.
