Hallo there,
the dynamo fibre gear wheel of my 1957 model 77 has worn out, as I can't find replacement I've had one machined on a lathe, as it has been done in alluminium my doubt now is: was it in fibre for electrical conduction matters? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

No it wasn't done for electrical conduction matters but rather for quietness and cheap to make.

Yes the "fibre" gear was made in a mold using cotton waste and resin, very cheap to produce.
There are certain magnetos which need an insulated gear but very few still exist.

to 33d6 & Revband: I really appreciate your usefull advises, I'll mount safety the alluminium one then; many many thanks from an entusiast from Italy! :-*
