Firstly, i dont know how to put the image on, so have put on flickr. On here are pictures of the barrel and cylinder head, picked them up from a friend but not sure what they are from, my father thought perhaps a norton international? Also what they might be worth, and where best to sell them, guessed someone on here may know, many thanks eliot here is the link http://www.flickr.com/photos/51988405@N06/4783765199/

Could be from an OHC (KTT? KSS?) Velocette?
An accurate measurement of the bore diameter could help?
-
certainely nothing British here!
this head is off a Ducati bevel single, although what capacity I can't say without knowing the bore size - 125, 175, 200, 250, 350 or 450cc variants were all similar. A Ducati specialist would know.

many thanks, will try to measure it! Is it worth anything, is of no use to me!

Definitely a Ducati, but could be off any early bevel, single or twin. You'd need to find a Ducati person to identify it reliably. It will be worth something. The exhaust port thread looks ok, and that's a notorious damage spot.
