Hello; B31 clutch question again. Any good advise for the conversion of a better clutch, and belt drive, for my XB31 model It's 1945.
Thanks Keith

I fyou get the correct adaptor you could use the later 4 spring beeza clutch or a Triumph one, but you will need to do the research for the right offset. I wouldn't bother with a belt drive, that's just throwing money away.

I run a belt on my old flathead, and that is the best thing ever. With the BSA clutch conversion. What is the type and part number for the adaptor, or do I have one made??
Thanks Keith

You'll have to try a late swinging arm one from a single or goldstar, maybe even a twin one. Join a BSA forum and they should give you the part no. In the mean time i'll inquire.

Have since found out your gearbox is different to the later"m" type box so it won't work, unless you use the later box, but they have wider mounting points so you would need to machine them down.Perhaps you could send in a picture of your gearbox?
