Title: What is this AJS sidevalve model?

Can anyone shed any light on what this model is?

Looks close enough to an S5 but with homemade high exhaust. The earlier forks make it around '29? Just guessing.

And 29 had the purple tank panel, which this appears to have.
(if you can imagine purple in B&W).
