Hi there, I'm Steve in not so sunny West Wales.  I'm a big 60's/70's Triumph fan but until I pass my test & find more lucrative employment (or make a success of being an artist) I'm stuck with a cheap chinese POS (well, its not that bad actually) 125.

I'm a hyperrealist artist, which means you'll have trouble telling my paintings from photos - so I always show my works in progress on my blog, http://classicbikeart.blogspot.com/

I'm particularly proud of my latest, the Brough SS80, it is oil on canvas and took over 6 weeks to do.

I'm always on the lookout for new subjects so if you have a really good photo of your bike, please feel free to contact me via PM or email. There is no commitment to buy any resulting painting, in fact I would normally offer the No 2 print free (I keep all the No 1's) as a thank you for the use of it. However the photos have to be really good & sharp! At the moment I'm particularly interested in doing 650/750 Bonnies or Tigers, if any owners of these are in Pembrokeshire, please contact me.

I am a "painter" too, but I've stopped painting (except for some drawings on PaintShop). Your hyper realism picture is absolutely perfect, it is missleading !  Congratulations, moreover, it is very tricky with motorcycles, because of the number of parts. About motorcycles, I decided to modify my bike, as if I was a designer. It is art too, but not with a brush, with tools only... I try to imitate the italian senveties style, that represents for me the most beautiful and pure motorbike style...

The realism of my paintings can be a problem when showing them on the net, I do get the occasional person convinced it must be a photoshopped picture. That's why I show works in progress on my blog, so that people can see how it develops over time. I suppose it might be better if I show some more closeups and at angles that show up the brushwork.

Perfectly right. An other suggestion : to use the context of the motorcyle to leave the realism and to abstract or to skew the reality. That will show that it is not a picture. But the hyper realism movement was really aiming to imitate perfectly the reality...
