Title: TSX 750 ignition coil
Post by: Lofotenrider Norway on March 24, 2012, 10:30:21 AM
Hello. I have a 1983 Triumph TSX 750, and I have a question about the ignition coil. The bike have a 12 volts system, but the coils that is on the bike is 6 volts.  Is this right? I expect that when it's 12 volt, that it should be 12 volts all over. Or am I wrong?  I hope that anyone can tell me. Thanks in advance.

Yes that is right, as your TSX should be fitted with electronic ignition (Lucas Rita originally)? Therefore the coils should be two 6V items wired in series.
