Title: 1975 Yamaha RS 100
Post by: simoncalloway on June 28, 2012, 01:04:16 PM
Hello there,

I’m not too sure if I am contacting the right people, if not perhaps you could help me out further?

Many years ago I bought a Yamaha RS100 on a 1975 (P) plate. I purchased this on the intention of refurbishing it to its former glory. However due to family life I never got around to this and I do not think I ever will so I am looking to sell it. I havent got a clue how much or where to sell it.

It does however need to be re built. When I last tired the engine started first time but has been dormant for 10+ years now. It also has a few parts missing, could do with a new seat as it is ripped and generally rusty all over. I have also mis placed the key for the ignition. It will need a lot of work doing on it but the basics are there and could (with time and money spent) be made fantastic, unfortunately I have neither.

I really have no knowledge and any info would be gratefully received or if you could let me know of someone I could chat with.

Kind Regards in advance,

Hi,
Try,  the Vintage Japanese Club of GB
http://www.vjmc.com/

Buy a Haynes Manual, try Charity shops or Ebay.
I would think they would be a good start, they could also put you onto specialist Yamaha dealers/breakers. Cheers
