i thought the pump was operated via a split cable and was balanced to the throtle . theres a mark on the pump cam which alines at full throtel ( same on suzuki i think ) either run the bike with pre mix or pump but will not run right with both .

automatic oil mix tank removed
Run 32:1 premix

is it the electric start model ? take the plugs out and put a small amount of two stroke oil down the boars , the problem ive had with left standing jap two strokes are the seals some times stick to the crank when standing , when you turn it over they tear so its a rebuild , good luck this is not always the case and the yamaha is one of the best for me
