If it's a Wipac genny, isn't it the same as a D1 Bantam?

Hi Rex I'm new to British bikes,I have a nice collection of early American made bikes and would like to get the excelsior up and running,I have seen the part I'm missing and thought it had Excelsior and a bunch of other stuff cast on it.frame and forks are going to be painted this week

Still in search of the Magneto for a 1952 or 3 Excelsior Talisman have cash or trade, could also us a front brake side lower leg mine is damaged and its always be easier to replace than repair.

As I said some time back it's basically the same genny as a common D1 etc Bantam, so buy one of those, these service sheets, and modify it if you have to.
Long time since I've seen one of these bikes, but as far as I remember it never had "Excelsior" on the covers anywhere. You do realise it's nothing at all to do with the old US firm of Excelsior, don't you?

Thanks Rex for the info, I need one for a twin and found a (miller)close match on U.K. ebay have things going back together and will post some more photo's soon, and I know that the U.S excelsior stopped production in 1931.I collect early American motorcycle's(1900-1924)and I'm restoring this Excelsior just to do something different
