Title: Panther 600 1939 or 1946?
Post by: john.k on May 01, 2013, 10:54:44 AM
I have a Panther 600 rigid frame, girder fork, which I am starting to restore. The engine no is W100 6339,frame no is 14288,BAP gearbox dated 1946.The frame is the postwar genny mount type, but the no appears to be prewar, going from Jones book where he says 14811 is 1940. The engine is 1939.Do we have a Panther expert who doesnt want 20 quid to tell me anything but the time of day.Do I have a bitser,or a 46 model made from prewar bits?Regards John..
