Title: triumph 500

interested in triumph twins again for now and keep looking at this engine , i now think this is a 500 all alloy barrel sleved down to 350 and fitted with t90 pistons and alloy rods , the barrel has wireing holes thro the two top fins , i have asked before but when did triumph make a all alloy barrel for a 500 unit ?

The ISDT bikes had alloy barrels about ? 1966.Was that the year all the Triumphs refused to start on the first day?Or did that happen every year?Regards John.
