Hi all
hope you can give me some help.
I need to import a lovely Aprilia FUTURA REGGIANI REPLICA 125 cc from Italy 1991 model.
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/aprilia/aprilia%20af1%20125%20Reggiani%20Replica%2091.htm
replacing the speedo and headlight will not be easy as parts cannot be found.
what do you advice?

When I moved to Spain I covered the "flag" on the headlight with aluminium tape as you do when you tour europe and it was imported OK. The speedo I stuck the numbers from a videotape label onto the speedo glass in the right place (80 = 50) and nobody has bothered me in 25 years at the MOT. Today I suppose Lettraset from the pound shop. And donīt forget the tax disc holder on the left of the bike unlike in the classic mags!

Are the Aprilia 125 models that different - you could just paint that paint scheme onto a local bike.
Cost less than having it transported - or are you planning to ride it home...
-
diesel and ferry to Italy 400 quid return in a small van. Respray 1 petrol tank 200 quid?
-
no respray...bike have to be original. i bought it and i'll have it transported with 500 euros by van.
i received already the dating letter from piaggio uk so i can have the correct plate number.
i also bought the speedo from an rs 125 extrema '94 which i m sure share the same speedo. although u can apply stickers even in the headlight to make it conform. the engine is not restricted and some performance bits applied. it should have more than 33 hp ... i remember riding this bike... is fast!
this was my first motorcycle...i m very happy...

"i remember riding this bike" ..... that would be the only reson anyone would import a machine like this , are you sure over 33bhp ?
-
yep...sure...

where have you these figure from ? ive seen the 33.8 but I would like to see in more than a fan blowing in the back of a van enviroment (controlled\) pref water break
