Hi. I'm hoping someone here can ID the bike in this photograph. I know there isn't much to go on. I do know, for sure, it's a Brit bike, and that this photo was taken in the 1930's. If you can help me at all, thanks so much! http://(http://i795.photobucket.com/albums/yy235/atblay/Image_zpsaa60ea0e.jpg) (http://s795.photobucket.com/user/atblay/media/Image_zpsaa60ea0e.jpg.html)

The registration number is a Chester series which was used from 1904 to 1936 which doesn't tie the year down much. Is it an early 1930s Sunbeam ? Possibly a Model 10 ?

must be early 30ies as it still has hand shift.
could be 250cc model 14, 350cc model 8 (or80) or 500cc model 9 (or90) - hard to tell as they look all very similar.

Thanks, guys! Really helpful. Had narrowed it down to a Velocette or Norton. Sunbeam hadn't even occurred to me. Appreciate the help!
