I know its a very very long shot , wanted manx Norton engine req before I go and  buy a replica

I can do most of the top end, but that's doing it the hard way unless you have a bottom end. Garden Gate era 490 big fin.

No worries. The head is, I'm told, the high point of the SOHC design, and is aluminium alloy cast around a bronze skull. It seems to be NOS. If it is used, it has clearly never had any huge blow-up!
