Title: Looking for Information on old BSA and Triumph Dealer
Post by: dltowers on January 16, 2016, 07:50:29 PM
Hello, my name is Dickie Towers.
I am searching for information on my parents motorcycle dealership,
It was listed as:  Towers Cycle Shop and/or Towers Motorcycle Sales & Service
The address was: 2026 North Main Street, Paris, Texas 75460
I have attached a couple of photos, one from 1965 and another from 1970:
My parents, Luther and Ruth Towers, owned and operated the dealership from 1964 until 1982.
During this period, they sold new BSA, Triumph, Yamaha, and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.
From 1964 until 1969, the sold BSA, then when BSA went out of business, the began to sell
Triumph from 1970 until 1975.
I am mainly interested in finding any information on the BSA and Triumph years.
Does anyone know if any archive records are kept on old BSA and Triumph Dealers, and if so,
can you reply to my email with details. I would really appreciate any help.
My email:  dufflebag51@aol.com

No idea about any archives . I did however do some business with your parents in the 1970's and early 1980's . Nice people . You might contact Gerald Jessup at Jessup Sport Cycles in Longview TX . Seems maybe they were friends . Good luck .
