Title: USA parts source 1971 BSA A65L
Post by: D.Ed on May 30, 2017, 11:25:05 PM
Acquired a 1971 BSA A65L that has not run in a few years. Only show 3500 miles on speedo. Looking for a good parts source here in the USA. Need thing like cables, carb kits, air filters and plug wires. Had gotten this running for the previous owner about 5 years ago. Then he let it sit again. Shame on him.

Have you tried to start it? Don't see why five years of sitting idle means all those parts you list would be needed.
New oil, battery and petrol and give it a go.

Mice chewed the plug wires and were living in the air filters. Really needed cables years ago. One carb slide is hanging up and both bowls have sediment from dried gas. Want to do more than just get it running. Would like to make it dependable.
