was the wheels on this bike chroium or painted silver, what colour is the blue and silver on this bike as i am going to re paint , thanks
-
You don't have any surviving painted bits to get a colour match off ?
Inside sidecovers or underneath tanks often give unfaded samples.
I've resorted to buying bits off fleabay to get good samples of a particular colour,
even just a patch of surviving paint.
How accurate is this bike ?

thanks for reply, my bike has been repainted not to sure if the colour is correct, that picture is a nice looking bike,

Since all good paint jobs need to go back to bare metal (or bare bondo ?), you
could always rub it back and see if any of the original paint is still under there ?
As you plough through layer after layer of different colours, you see all its history
unfold in front of you !?
-
Another of the same one.
Do the colours bear any resemblance to yours presently ?

And on the Bantam Club
"the black lines are extra"

And this one on fleabay has silver painted rims with blue centres.

So maybe it depends on the level of your budget for the resto ?

Do you have the brochure for your year/model ?
That often spells out in blacknwhite how they started life...
-
Might be a different year, but looks to have more colour and less silver ?

got my bantam engine fitted after a total rebuild, to my surprise the engine started third kick,i have had a new ignition in storage for 30 years and if you keep it long enough it will come in handy one day,

If you're young enough when you put it away. ;D
