Hello
I recently found this picture of my father riding a Triumph bike but impossible to know what he is riding !! Picture is from around 1947 and taken in Holland. The logo indicates a 1932 or 1933 bike. (i hope you can open the attachment)

Jaap,
You have the years right and I cannot say whether 1932 or 1933. It is an inclined-engined 549cc side-valve Model ND. The oil reservoir is at the front of the crankcase and oil was pumped from there into the crankcase, and back, with no external pipes. The only external oil pipe was one which went up through the tank to an oil pressure indicator button on top of the tank.
Likewise, no unsightly cables around the handlebars as all cables went through the handlebars, to exit at the centre and then disappear under the tank.
