Post by: CWPenketh on February 23, 2008, 03:57:02 AM
Hi All

I have a C10 BSA 1939 and the carb is in apoor state. It is a Amal and the only numbers on it appear to be
J61*4 which no one seems to reconise .
Where would be the best place to get it reconditioned

regards   Chris

Amal carbs are now available new from Burlen Fuel Systems.  Parts are available from Surrey Cycles.  Both companies have web sites with all the details.  The number you quote is probably the individual identification for your model. Jet, needle cutaway sizes etc.  Have a look on those sites for more info.
