i am only 16 and hoping to build one up for daily use  will it be reliable and work on a daily basis in most weathers
not and break down half way home

Hi!
I cut my teeth on a c15 - similar bike, just a little older than a starfire.  I think you've picked a good bike to start with.  they're easy to work on and a good introduction into the joys of british biking.  If you're going to build one, i would strongly recommend the Rupert Ratio Unit Single Manual.  It will tell you everything you need to know about the mechanics of these bikes.

by the way when i say build one up i mean restore (sorry my bad) my dad has one in shed in bits for last 10 years

Just want to know if anyone has had any bad experiences with starfires cus i want mine (havent got it yet) to be reliable and work with MINIMAL maintence on a day to day basis
