Title: 1930s Motorcycle shops

I am doing some research for the Black Country Living Museum looking at recreating a small 1930s motor cycle dealers.  If anyone can give me any information about what the interior of these shops would have looked like in the 1930s I would be glad to here from you.

The best starting point might be a trip to the Vintage Motor Cycle Club Library at their Burton on Trent HQ. They have bound copies of 'Motor Cycle' and 'Motor Cycling' from the year dot and also lots of other paperwork.

They're ever so friendly and membership is not required. In fact, in contrast to many archives, they actually give the impression that they're pleased to share information.

I'm sure you'll find some useful photographs there (but don't blame me if you lose a day ! :))

Also if you find contacts around Stourbridge ask about Jack Underwoods motorcycle shop whilst this might not have started in the 1930 it was quite old whenI first went there in the late 1960,s .It was in a street just off Enville Street Stourbridge.
