Title: 1928 Francis Barnett
Post by: Bruce Mitchell on June 23, 2005, 10:54:59 PM
I'm cuurently trying to help my father restore his vintage bike. I would appreciate anyones assistance for spares and manuals. The bike is currently a good runner but needs just that extra touch to fully restore it to original. We would greatly appreciate a full list of available parts in the UK or from anyone who has parts for sale. In particular we are interested in Engine, Gearbox & Clutch spares. Also it would be great to replace all the serviceable parts - a list too long for now!

Details of the bike are listed below;

1928 Francis Barnett 172cc Villiers Super Sports TT

Engine No. BZ 5787
Frame No. 17148
Reg No. V10

I shall post pictures and further info if required at a later stage.

PS Does anyone know where I could get a tin of Brushig Belco or equivalent for redoing the original paint job as well as decals.

You could try:http://www.villiersservices.co.uk/spares.htm
If you haven't done so already?

Bruce Main-Smith & Co. Ltd. will doubtless have photocopies of Instruction Book and Parts List.
