Title: Triumph 5TA 1958
Post by: joe@joearmstrong.co.uk on July 05, 2021, 06:23:00 PM
I have a 1958 Triumph 5TA which has no cowling on the headlamp. An ordinary headlamp has been fitted with a 3 way switch for the lights. It’s 6 volt, the stator has 3 wires out and is giving out good power. The rectifier is new. As ids the coil. I bought a new wiring harness and fitted it wire for wire. The battery is not charging. There is a green/yellow wire in the headlamp which I taped up as previous did not have this wire. The purple and green are now attached to the right terminal of the ammeter as you view the photo. If you understand wiring and can help I would much appreciate it.
