Hi All.
I have a 1966 Triumph 3TA, ex Dutch Army. The left side Panel has 2 ports for Switches. I cannot find any referance to them anywhere. Would anyone know what they are for and the Part Numbers for same.
Regards.
Chris.

Some civvy '66's have a Yale type ignition switch set below a rotary light switch in the side panel, but the military build 3TAs have no side panel covering the battery and and side-mounted air filter. I guess it depended on the military spec required.

How would you get a sidecover in there ?

The air filter on mine is the standard type attached directly onto the Carb. The battery is as in the picture, however, the small battery is strapped to the bracket, without the Bakelite case. The side cover then goes over this. I have fitted a new battery cage under the seat to take a larger battery.

So where did your sidecover come from.
Is it the civvy type one ?

Sorry, I don't Know, it was on it when I bought it. The holes are blanked off with chrome fittings.

Does the sidecover look anything like the one on this civilian 1966 (?).
