Title: Villiers 30C engine
Post by: gambole1949 on February 01, 2022, 07:06:24 PM
Hi I have what i think is a 30C Villiers engine, the casting number on the cylinder is A5020 but according to Villiers part numbers it should be A9020. Could any tell me what engine the A5020 belongs to. Many thanks Bud.

As the cylinder does not have a 30C part number it would appear that your identification of the engine as a 30C is doubtful. The easy way to identify engines is from the makers engine number rather than guess from the odd part number so it would be much easier if you just give us the engine number.

Hi 33d6 thanks for the reply, having cleaned up the pot I can now see that the number is A9020 so happy with that. The engine prefix is 433B and sods law its not on my Villiers list. Thanks again Bud.

Well, nice to solve that one.
For years now I've been building up an additional Villiers 'unknown number' list and have a couple in the low 400's but 433B is a new number to me as well. So sorry, can't help. Pity about that. I'll add yours listing it as a 30C of unknown provenance. It's not much but better than nothing. Every little bit helps.

Cheers,
