John K you are right. It is a one piece crank with alluminum rod. What does SRM stand for?  This bike was raced in the Baha and piston seized. I am not planning to race with it though, I just want a little more torque. Dick

I have a 1969 250 Triumph. It needs a rebuild so I want to put an 850 Norton sleeve in it and use the 750 Triumph zipkit in it. It has the same pin diameter as the Triumph and is almost the same weight which I think will come out to about 310 cc. It should have similar compression ration as the Triumph, about 10-1. Do you think this is a bad idea? thanks, Dick

thanks, so I assume that the 440 you mention is actually a 441 like a  Victor. So there is no alluminum cylinder for the 350 cc . Dick

Did BSA make a B40 with a square aluminum cylinder or only a cast iron round one?
