I visited the Lakeland Motor Museum last week and they have a motorcycle called a Royal Ruby. I though I had heard of most makes of motorcycle but never heard of this one. Anyone know anything about them.
HELLO-
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT BIKE THIS IS? IT'S LOADED WITH BRITISH COMPONENTS... NO BADGE... THE RED IS THE ORIGINAL COLOR IF THAT HELPS... THANKS. MARCUS
The PRS8 switch is listed in the 1955 Lucas catalogue for the C11G, but there's no mention of the C11G in the 1956 Lucas catalogue.

I know there was a 'C11G' and a C12, but was there a C12G?
Thanx for the reply L.A.B. Funnily enough when it first started playing up it would start just fine (as it always has), but would not rev past tickover. I've charged the battery now and it revs OK but still doesn't like sharing the battery with any other electrical parts - lights and horn etc. Busted batteries are hardly uncommon on brit twins but I'm still puzzling over why it causes problems when the bike's running :-?
I'll check the alternator the morrow. HN
I stmbled across the photos on the link in my first post - aparently found in an envelope from an auction.
The magazine Classic Motorcycling Legends NO14 had a good article which inclded a photo of Walter at Kate's on the AJS in the 1939 Senior on a No9 plate.
I believe Sammy has the bike in his museum. I would love to visit it sometime - I live at Greyabbey in Co.Down, N.Ireland so may nip across the pond sometime with my camera or maybe sammy would have some interesting photos!
