Perfect tools and will be used again on other projects. Cheated a bit with the electronic ignition replacement but what the hell.......... the bike is never going to be an exact restoration.

Thanks for that ;) I've ordered a set of three 50, 100 and 150mm. I'll update the thread once I've tried them out.

HI, does anyone have any idea how to remove one of these wico pacy rotors? The standard removal tools won't fit and I can't find anything in any of the BSA service sheets or Haynes manual that details the removal of this particular type. It sits on a keyed taper.

British Bikes / D10 Piston rings
« on: April 04, 2010, 09:08:43 PM »
I have a D1 plunger that has a D10 175cc engine fitted (bought as a rolling chassis). I have dismantled the engine and found a flat top piston with 30 6/65L 90-1461 BSA stamped on the crown. It seem to have good compression although came out with only one ring fitted but has three grooves. I intend to use the same engine and the piston is in good shape so need to find where I can get a set of rings. I'm in Central UK and any help would be appreciated.
