hi john sorry i cant help you with any photos but from what i remember the c10 did change to a seperate oil tank but i dont think that it ever had a tank top instrument panel the reason i mentioned the c11 is because there are plenty of photos of pre war c11s available also the 1946 c11 was the same as the 1939 c10 with regard to frame and fittings it was just up dated with telescopics in place of girders so basically the c10 and c11 became the same apart from their engines from about 1940 onwards the c10 also saw military service as a training bike one of the best things about the c10 was the exhaust note very deep and i thought powerfull sounding. it was my first bike! i know this reply is probably not much help hope i havent bored you too much with memories .terry

hi in the late 1950s i did have the dubious pleasure of owning a bsa c10sv the one that i had contained the oil and petrol in the fuel tank with pipes for the oil feed coming down from the tank to the front of the crankcase but apart from this it was just the same as its higher powered brother the 1939 c11 ohv including the girder forks it wasnt a bad little bike really hope you can find the rest of it to go with the frame  :D
