British Bikes / triumph trw electrical installation
« on: November 14, 2022, 12:17:58 AM »
Hello everyone. I have many problems with the electrical installation of my TRW. When I turn on the headlights, the ignition suffers and the engine fails. The bike is old and poorly treated, I don't have the headlight resistors or the large switch key that goes to the right of the headlight. Has anyone installed a modern rectifier-regulator on these bikes? My intention is to put all the lights on direct current from the battery. Originally, the ignition coil works with direct current, and the headlight with alternating current. But in this situation the light of the headlamp only comes on with the engine very revolutionized. and when I turn on the light, the engine misfires. I intend to put the lights with C Continuous, but since the original bike does not have a regulator (only plate rectifier), I am afraid of overloading the battery and bursting it. I think I should also put a regulator.
Thanks for the help

the oil literally goes to jets through the space between the axis of change (clutch) and the crankcase. It has no mounted seal, check or felt.

thanks for all help

hello, I have a triumph trw 500. the motorcycle pulls me the clutch oil through the crankcase because it has not mounted any mechanism retainer of oil. I have located an oil retainer plate (Motorcycle parts Triumph 57-0000 to 57-9999
clutch 1950 2 57 - 1031 I205 pre-unit chaincase main oil disc, steel disc 3 57-1038 - 4-PADDLE EMBRAGUE CENTER - 56 57-1039 - P / U CL / SHOCK 1NNER PLATE - 25 57-1040 - CLUTCH
www.grintriumph.com/Triumph4.htm) that I have already ordered through the internet.

The question I am asking is whether it should carry anything other than a steel plate, as I imagine that the oil will continue to escape between the steel plate and the crankcase.

The bike is currently mounted as seen in these images.
