Surprising about Modaks, I thought they had about everything under the sun.

Is this not a crankpin nut - item 5
(Or the shaft nut item 23.)
This is a 1950s Bullet, G2

All British Cycle Thread is 60 degrees.
BSF & Whitworth are 55 degrees.
BA is 47 1/2 degrees.

Needs to be GOOD steel.

Somehow missed this post, or would have replied sooner.

Modaks in Melbourne or BJs in Brisbane are likely places.
Both have extensive stocks of everything, and a longtime history with RE.
Modaks are mail order only these days, I understand.

Hitchcocks in the UK are pretty good too.
And postage is not too bad on small light items, sent economy airmail.
Can be quicker than internal aussie post !!

And, just for laffs, there is an "Excelsior Henderson" on FB
Not entirely complete, and asking a fairly hefty wad as is.
Inc missing engine bits and that monstrosity of a muffler.
And probably also having had a fair bit of $$$ already lavished on it ?

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/8322811081154643

And as we all know, Henderson is totally uninvolved in this ..
And Excelsior of Tynsley UK being the maker of Waratahs, 'badge engineering' and all that.
The common thread here.

Hope it finds a new home, at maybe 1/3 of the listed price.

Aye, that sounds more like it.
But there doesn't seem to have been much movement on the asking price.
Maybe thats how much has been spent already ?!

Perhaps AI doesn't know pressed tin pogo sticks ...

.Needs a LOT of work to finish.

Aye.
Wonder what shape the engine is in. ?
Looks like has spent a small fortune on stuff already.
When you wonder what shape the original bits were in ..
For a budget bike, rijjinal is always best ?
And no tank cap ???

What do you have of them at present.
Wouldn't there be holes that would dictate their size ?

And wouldn't Stewart Engineering have what ye need.
Or have they ceased ...

There was a fairly active Yahoo Group for these.
I think the Facebook group has taken over, since Yahoo bailed out of groups.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/152093191516017/

There are still a lot of these about when you take stock.
Inc some suppliers of parts.

Harry Beanham, from Sydney who was mentioned earlier here as having an interest
in Marushos also had a fleet of LE Velocettes.
Now he had a string of business's in Sydney Melb Adelaide Brisbane.  The story goes that
when he caught the train to visit any of these said business's, he took his LE's numberplates
in his pocket, and attached them to an LE that he kept at each business.
Apparently did this for decades.   Gearco, Allparts, Diecut, etc etc etc were his ...
We diverge.

This line in the instructions sounds more than useful.
Might save someone wasting $90   !!

please call us on 03 9558 4829 to determine whether or how to proceed "

This is shown as a generic switch for Ariels - without specific mention of an Arrow.
Look familiar ?
