What would that cost - ballpark ?

But keep your eye out.

I have this bunch - for some model of Villiers. ?
While they look a little crusty, they clean up well.
Ex-Singapore stock, superficial cancer.
And by co-incidence, they are 17t.
Make ideal donors to reband a worn out one ?

Have smaller ones also - with the 5-5 splines. But only 12 teeth.

I’m quite familiar with the EJ box. Albion boxes are common in the type of bike I favour.
Sprockets are not a problem. I have mine made. I enquired at an industrial transmission place who directed me to the machine shop that made their sprockets. Easy as that.
Sprocket blanks come as either “flat plate” or with a central boss. How the job is addressed depends upon the capabilities of the machine shop in question.
Take both your sample sprocket and the sleeve gear it fits on when you make your enquiries. Be organised and prepared to make a decision on the spot. Most firms dislike dealing with the average motorcyclist. They dither and moan and always cry poor. Be businesslike. We could start a whole new thread on why businesses can’t be bothered dealing with motorcyclists. They are their own worst enemy.
Tell us how you get on.

Hitchcock motorcycles is the goto place for Enfield stuff. They have a good website. All the 4 speed gearboxes as based on Albion even the internals and the clutches but the dimensions may vary. Bullet final drive chain is 5/8" × 3/8", I think the 250cc bikes used a smaller chain, might be worth checking.

Thanks to you both.

The one at Villiers Services doesn’t fit unfortunately.

I got another tip on RE so any clue where to find them?

I may be talking nonsense but that looks very much like a final drive sprocket off a 4 speed Royal Enfield Bullet. The gearbox was Albion, even the spline looks similar but could of course be a different size.

Villiers Services can supply some varieties of  Albion 17t sprocket  ??
https://villiersservices.co.uk/product/e8868-albion-gearbox-sprocket-17-tooth-12-x-316/

Its also not impossible to grind the teeth off a smaller sprocket, and shrink/weld a ring of new teeth on.

Hello everyone, totally new here but hope someone can help me.

For my Albion EJ gearbox (3-speed, clutch and kickstarter) I am looking for the 17T sprocket (part BJ12).

As attachment a picture of a 14T sprocket (part BJ12a), and 2 copies of the Albion part list, which I can share with you if you like!
The 14T sprocket is available as well.

Does anybody knows where these can be bought?

Thanks in advance, Cees

Clue...if it's smoking like a WW1 destroyer chasing subs it's over-oiling.. ;)

Not as fatuous as it sounds. I have a Scott (obviously also total loss oiling) and some owners think that having the oil pumps WFO is a good thing, but there's no need for it. A light blue haze when working hard is more than adequate.

Hi Geoff,

Just be wary of too much oil: if the crankcase gets over-full with oil everything gets terribly hot and bothered. The trick is finding the Goldilocks flow: not too little, not too much, but just right.

Good luck!
