Saying hello
« on: January 09, 2011, 08:35:29 PM »
Hello,

I am in the process of restoring a 1966 500 Speed Twin.  As is not unusual it seems to have 1960 T100A fitted (or at least a left hand crankcase  ;D).  Concentrating on the chassis at present as I vaguely know what I am doing there, for the engine re-build I may be asking some (read a lot) questions.

Link to my flickr.com photos of progress so far:

Zunspec? Sounds familiar somehow. Do you post on that shite ex-CB forum, maybe? ;)

Good old bikes, the old C range Trumpets. Nothing hard anywhere in them...

Hello Rex,

Yes, I do post on the "shite" CB forum  ;D.  However I can get along with all sorts, I usually only post to get or offer advice and leave the general banter (which occasionally can get contentious on any forum) to more outspoken posters.

I will certainly appreciate any tips on re-building the 500 engine as I'm not really sure what mix of parts it may contain.  With the paint bill imminent the engine will have to wait for now.

Cheers   Zunspec
