Hi, Beardy
As the 24 models had a useless rim brake I would (and have done to my own project + another ) fit a
drum brake wheel. I have fitted one from a BSA C10/11, 5.5 inch brake and built it to a 21in. rim
On the other bike I used a Mk1 LE Velo hub
The forks will accept the 1/2in knock through axle from either hub and its not hard to attach a torque arm to where the original brake shoe pivoted on the fork leg

Hi Beardy
I used a 21in. WM1 wired on rims. built them centered on the hubs
I then made spacers to centralise the hubs in the forks
