S O R N LAW

 I took my 1960 tiger 90 of the rd 2yrs before the sorn law came out ,but i have never recieved any notification about registering it of rd, i  know i should of sorted it out  yrs ago, but things get left theres, to much red tape & form filling nowdays Will i be fined if i notify the powers that be as i want to put it back on the RD.?

. have 2 bikes and a car which have been off the road since long before the SORN law was introduced (one trials bike and two resto projects).
When SORN was introduced I emailled DVLA and their reply said that if the vehicle was already off the road on the date they introduced SORN there was no legal requirement to declare SORN BUT if you did decide to declare them as SORN then you would have to continue to do so each year or face a fine.
I haven't applied for new V5C documents as my understanding is that there is no time limit to apply for the new documnets but once you have them you need to declare SORN and once again continue to declare it or face a fine. I was always worried about forgetting to do the paperwork each year so I thought the best thing was to leave well alone until I need to use the car/bikes again.

I think that when SORN was introduced the DVLA may have given out some incorrect information as comments that I have read on another classic bike message board from owners who have tried to apply for SORN when updating vehicle details or applying for a V5C have found that the DVLA have refused to SORN vehicles that it does not apply to?
