Positive oil feed to Triumph rockers
« on: August 11, 2006, 11:13:52 PM »
I am finishing a Triton restoration using a 650cc Triumph pre-unit engine (possibly T110 ?).

One thing I have been told is that it's worth using positive oil feed from timing cover to the rockers. This is due to the fact that there is hardly any oil delivered to the rockers by the normal return oil line route.
However, someone else has said that the banjo bolt used for the oil feed would need to have a reducer fitted.

Does anybody know what it should be reduced down to ??

Any advice or comments (either for or against this) appreciated.

I used this system on the Triton I built, and used a stainless braided hose. No restrictor was used, and a standard Morgo pump fitted, works fine.
