Early Frame identification

Hello,
Can any one help identify the year and make of frame number V 4682 P .I am told could be a mid 1920 to mid 1930 Ariel.Any help would be appreciated, Cheers Eddie ( New Zealand )

Hi Eddie, There are a number of sites on the web with Ariel frame numbers, for example
http://redhunter.com/blog/2010/02/16/ariel-engine-and-frame-number-prefixes-2/
. I guess a 1927 Ariel frame has a V prefix, but presumably so do other things: post a photo and let's see if it looks like an Ariel frame.
