TR6 engine rebuild

My TR6 ( 1971  has a 6T engine fitted to it ( 1969 ), des anyone know if it will make any differance on whether i time the inlet cam to the small or long dash. The manual says the small one but are the cam the samebetweenmdlsand is if i time it to the TR6 sec is it just a case of tuning or a i gong to bounce valves of pistons.

6T camshafts are different to the TR6/T120 camshafts (although the TR6 used the same followers as the 6T)

If the difference is merely between 6T and TR6 spec, then I'd time to the 6T given the juice we have now.
What's the range...one tooth? You're not going to bend valves with that, but if you're really not sure, or the engine is a bitsa, I'd recommend doing a proper valve timing check just to make sure all is OK.
