Any tips of how to tighten the cush drive nut (new from srm) should be tightened to 60 llb per foot? with the bike in top gear and the rear brake on, the thing keep spinning around turning th engine.
Im completely new to this so any advise would be welcome.

Tighten up your clutch springs. The clutch plates might need a clean and light sand for extra grip.

You could get a piece of hard wood and wedge it between the bottom side of the drive sprocket and primary chain. As you tighten the cush drive nut, the sprocket will bit into the wood and prevent it from turning. All the best.

What model BSA is it? I sell some clutch locking tools for the unit singles and pre-unit/unit twins.
