Maybe a 'shot in the dark' but I was hoping a forum member might know what happened to Bob's collection of fabulous bikes after his death. Bob was my cousin and, at his funeral talking to his wife Audrey, I advised her to make sure she had an honest valuation of the bikes before selling them and that I would like the chance to buy one or two at that valuation for 'old times sake'. The collection represented a major part of their capital for their retirement. She never came back to me and I was rmoved from her Christmas Card list
Audrey has now passed away.
My father bought me my first bike through Bob for passing a ruck of O'levels. It was a Velo. MAC. Bob asked me how I was getting on with it and I said I was a little disappointed it only did about 65mph. He had it for about 2 weeks after which it would just pass the 100mark. He was a remarkable bike mechanic.
