1929 Triumph CN 500sv
« on: May 11, 2011, 12:26:35 AM »
I have owned this bike for around 5 years and have found very little information about the model. She runs quite sweetly, although I have never ridden it on public roads. I became the owner of this bike when I purchased it along with a 1930 BSA 500 sloper delux and a 1926 BSA S26 all in decent fettle from a friend who bought a container load of bikes from S.Africa. He didn't show any interest in anything that had a hand change so he did me a cracking deal.

Any information would be useful, Many thanks in anticipation
If iver tha does owt for nowt alus duit for thissen

I'd start in the obvious places. The VMCC Library holds a 1929 catalogue, an illustrated spare parts list, etc, etc as does BMS publications who seem to hold even more. They are both on line.
This is the joy of owning a popular make like Triumph. You don't even have to move away from your computer to order all the info printed by the factory. Wish it was that easy with some of the other makes.
Best of luck, it looks like a nice bike you have there.
Cheers,
