Would anyone please be able to offer any assistance as to what bike / make / model this may have started life as?
I have been unable to locate any frame number or VIN anywhere on the frame.
Many thanks

Given the lightweight basic construction, the relative "crudity" of the axle plates and headstock gusset and the huge gap left for the battery behind the gearbox, my guess would be it's some sort of aftermarket chopper frame or similar.

Very chopper - down to the barley-twist side stand. I wonder what the intended engine was?

Thanks for your help folks.
It had on old Honda CB550 engine in it but its been sitting in an old she for some years now and engine is seized.
I am considering building it but there are some ugly bits on it which I want to remove and replace. My main concern is what engine would go in it. The CB550 was a bit of a bodge and had a too many spacers in it, which didnt really suggest a good fit.
