Replacement drum brakes

Hi, the rear drum brake material on my 1932 BSA are almost level with the cooper studs. Where could I purchase some more or can you get them refurbished?

Hi,
You don't say where you are, but there are still brake shops around that will re-line your brake shoes with some old-fashioned rather soft linings. They will probably want the shoes and the backing plate, as well as the drum (or a measurement of the drum diameter). Maybe call around in your area and see who is willing to do the job - it shouldn't be too expensive.
New linings will be bonded to the shoes. You can glue and rivet your own, but it's not worth the hassle of finding the materials then doing a second-rate job.

If you're in the UK try Saftek or Villiers Services. The latter fitted bonded linings to my BSA A7 shoes back in the Spring for under £25 inc postage.

Another vote for Villiers Services. Good prices and they will fit linings to your spec.

Thank you gentle men for your advice. I live about 3 miles from Villiers Services; I thought they simple sold parts for Villiers engine motorcycles I had no idea they had a brake shoe re-lining service.
