Corrrect Speedo for a D3 Bantam
«

Hey folks,
Which scale is the correct one for a D3 Bantam (a D shaped smiths speedo) - 55, 65 or 70 mph? Am trying to find out for a friend with a D3 and we are seeing images of all three speedo's on the web!
thanks
Doug

This would seem to indicate that the speedo for the D1 to D3 was the same.

The later 150cc and 175cc ones would likely require a few more mph on the scale ...
Hopethishelps.

You can discount the 70mph speedo as that was reserved for the C12. I wasn't aware they made a 65mph job (could be wrong) so that leaves the 55mph one for the older Bantams (D1/D3).

D14 Bantams apparently use an 80mph Smiths

But they were cheap round magnetic things, and not D shaped Chrono's.

Quite so. But I was putting them in context.
